Sometimes it is easy to "forget" about the many ways our work as Rotarians reaches across the globe. Here is a global story that our club has a very local connection with: Kevin Liner, grandson of President Bill Saunders, is working with the Rwanda teachers education program from the University of Hartford. Kevin sent a message to our club that the teachers in Rwanda needed pencils and pens for their students, and our club answered that call with donations. Kevin was able to fill an entire suitcase with the supplies when he packed for his trip. In the picture above he is with the large group of teachers that get to bring these supplies to their schools. In the picture below, Kevin is visiting boys at an orphanage where he delivered soccer balls for them to play with. Their smiles tell the rest of the story.
